Grassy Landscape is a Roblox game created by the user TerrodactyI (LoganDark on the wiki) in 2021. It borrows concepts from Defaultio's Metalworks Sandbox Demo, aiming to attract existing players from its community, and serve as a de facto continuation of the original game. It is still in active development, and is currently marked as a pre-alpha.
During the first weeks of development, the project was named "Metalworks Sandbox 2". It was then renamed to "Grassy Landscape" to mask its development, and eventually that became the public name for the project. Other reasons for the renaming included the fact that Grassy Landscape is not a sequel to Metalworks Sandbox, and that the original developer, Defaultio, had not approved its usage of the "Metalworks Sandbox" name.
